33 Days…. it’s like the “last chance workout!”
I don’t care what spectrum of the political scale you are on, I think that I can be a bipartisan writer in this today. The media skews what everyone thinks about their candidates: TRUE! To be able to know who is actually running for each office, one must do their own research, rather than reading the writings of the conservative people or the writings of the liberal. There are no impartial writers, or media out there. People are constantly swayed by what their parents support, constantly swayed by who their favorite actor or performer supports, that is unfortunate. Even the commercials put out by each candidate is increasingly stretching the truth on either side of the scale. So what about these “last chance workouts.” I believe that these candidates truly need to show their real colors, really need to work on exactly who they are, and showing that to those who have yet to decide on who should be the next president.
I do believe that Whoopi said it correctly on the View, “none of these candidates are qualified.” Who is ever really qualified to run such a big country? To be that huge world force? Only those who have been in office. We all don’t want this country to continue to head in the direction it is going, we all have the same thoughts and feelings (or I believe we do) about the administration that is in office now. The facts are, we cannot, nor should we mark our vote on ONE issue, we should and I pray we do in this country, think about what is at the best interest as a whole.
I believe other countries at this time can look at the crisis that we are in, look at how our economy, our faith even in the whole ideal of this country is failing. How, can we show the world that we are not failing? How can we assume that we won’t be under attack yet again when we are so vulnerable? I don’t believe that has ever been a time when we have been more vulnerable.
There was a recent article that popped up on yahoo about October being a huge issue and the moments leading up to the election, different people coming out and “hindering” who makes it into office. Both tickets have had this happen, some caused it, some didn’t. John Kerry mentioned that Osama bin Laden stopped his run for president with a release about George W. Bush that “pissed off” (supposedly) the American people. Don’t you think that Osama bin Laden is so against our country that putting that into play and making George W. Bush win the election just could have been in his plan? We have got to be careful about what comes up, and remember that the MOST important issue is the heart of America, which means finding the best candidate (not who is qualified per say) for OUR president. I say our as a whole, not as a republican nation or a democrat nation.
I have many more rantings, but just might wait to see what kind of debacle happens at tonights debates. I intend stupidity to occur on both tickets! While Biden can’t keep his foot out of his mouth, Sarah Palin has her little kid talking in her ear telling her what to say….
